Do you believe the plague is making a comeback?

And do you think this has anything to do with the anti vaccine movement? 
This is something I keep hearing about lately.

I've heard that in countries outside of America the plague is indeed resurfacing due to a lack of vaccines being available...

About 4 people catch it in North America every year and is very easily treated with antibiotics. 
But no I don't believe it is making a come back. For it to make a come back, we would need very poor sanitation like we did back then.

THE plague (as in bubonic plague) doesn't really have anything to do with vaccines. Europeans developed a gene mutation in response to the plague that has made it less deadly for us than it was when it was rampant. There was no vaccine done for it. So even if people don't get vaccinated, their risk of getting bubonic plague is no higher than anyone else's. We are also able to treat it very effectively in the rare cases where people do get it.  
Could there be a different plague? Totally. They kind of happen all the time, and will continue to happen because that's just how evolution works. The more we fight bacteria and viruses, the more resistant they get to our efforts, until we are forced to make new treatments in order to survive. Pandemics in recent years include: HIV/AIDS and influenza H1N1. They got bad, but we are much better are catching these things early than we used to be. And thus far, have been able to prevent full blown plagues from happening. HIV/AIDS and H1N1 COULD have become plagues, had we not noticed them. But the WHO keeps an eye on this stuff. 
People who decide to not get vaccinated are actively choosing to ignore our pretty darn good system of detecting potential risks and fighting against them. And I'm sure a lot of those people will come to regret that decision at some point.

No. These are diseases that have a vaccine, just like a cold doesn’t have a vaccine. If anything is contributing to another plague outbreak is climate change

I heard the plague is resurfacing because in some country (can't remember which), it is a tradition to dig up dead ancestors and dance with them. And of course some of these ancestors died of the plague... so they said it's making a come back
