She told me to “suck it up for his sake”

So yesterday I had my 6 week check up a week early. Just 5 weeks ago, I delivered my baby girl. I went for my appointment to be sure I was healing as I should and to get on birth control for the future. When my midwife asked me if I had sex since having my baby, I told her I had not and I was kind of scared to considering everything I went through to deliver my baby. She told me that “for my husband’s sake, I would just have to get through it the first time”. I laughed and said “yeah but that’s up to me” and she ignored me and kept on with telling me to “make sure I use lube so I’m not just laying there waiting for it to be over”. My husband isn’t the type of person to do anything I don’t want to do and my midwife was awesome during my pregnancy but for some reason, this really bothered me and I can’t stop thinking about it because it just seems so wrong. Has anyone else has a similar experience?
