Anyone marrying in 2018 and on the fence about getting pregnant before the wedding?

I just got married in July and I was terrified of getting pregnant before my wedding. I got off birth control because we knew we would be trying after the wedding. I’m 38 and can’t wait much longer unfortunately. We used the pull out method and every month I’d be counting like if I got pregnant now would I still fit in the dress? Would I be able to fly to the honeymoon? Luckily everything went as planned. I was able to drink and enjoy my two weeks in Thailand. Honestly if I had ended up pregnant I probably would have canceled everything and just eloped. Not fun to be at a big party with a big pregnant belly. Just my opinion.

I wanted to hit yes but I am not old so I wont do that. But yes, getting married in February. I have two girls, an almost 5 year old and a 10 month old (they both have February birthdays).

I would just wait until after the wedding. We filled out paperwork for the birth certificate and one of the questions is “Were you married when you conceived?” It’s obviously my opinion, but I felt way better being able to answer yes. Also, traditional weddings are stressful AF, adding pregnancy could set you off. Not being able to have a drink, possibly vomiting or feeling sick all day, not fitting into your dress or your feet being too swollen, etc. Ultimately it’s up to you and your partner, but that’s my two cents.
