debating on getting either a nose stud or nose ring ?? but my nose is fat idk if it would look good

I prefer the rings. But when you get it pierced, I think you have to initially get a stud. I could be wrong though.

When I got my second nose piercing done the guy put a seamless hoop in BUT it was a little off because he didn’t close it completely shut (like the picture below)

and would get stuck in the hole so I highly suggest a stud until it heals 😊

I got my nose pierced nearly 3 years ago and I had to leave the stud in for 6-8 weeks until it healed then I changed it to the ring
From experience if you get it done, get a stud and of a night cover it with a bandaid (I got told by the piercer to do it) and one night I forgot and the stud actually fell out in my sleep, so the next morning I had to repierce it myself as the hole closed.. 
but yeah, i wouldn’t put a ring in straight away because it can cause infections, some piecers will tell you that with most piercings 😊

I think the ring would be cutest. You should be able to pick a ring or stud from options your piercer has. I've always been able to and I have 13 piercings, including my nose.

Normally when you eat it done they will give you a hoop just bc some people will swell a little and it lessens the risk of a stud becoming stuck or in grown into the hole itself and prevents infection so this way you could see if you would like either one.
