Should I tell the hiring manager I'm expecting?

Pregnancy and career. I have been trying to land a dream job and have been keeping up with the hiring manager for the past four years, I was not planning this pregnancy and I feel that I want to stop perusing my career just because I'm pregnant!

I was super worried about telling one of my bosses (who I never see) when in the middle of switching jobs in the company. I ended up telling him and he said "congrats! When I hire the new person I'll get one who can cover your maternity leave" that was the best response I could have hoped for! For my other job when I told him, he told me to tell him when I need help (very physical job!). I think we worry so much, and the outcome, at least in my case, was very much less stressful then I thought I would be!

You don't have to tell him and if you do tell him you probably won't get the job even though that is illegal discrimination. No need to say anything until you are showing I say.

Well if you no longer want that job, then go ahead. It would be the decent thing to do. But if you do, wait until after you've been hired. But show them you're going to do a hell of a job so they won't think of sacking you.
