Any good cover up stories for not drinking at events?

We have decided not to announce our pregnancy until I am 13 weeks along or so.  We have so many weddings and other social events coming up.  Does anyone have any tips for not making it obvious that I am pregnant?

A lot of bartenders will do mock tails. Then you have the glass in hand and no will ask.

You could also say you are detoxing or doing a cleanse and this could be the excuse for not eating certain foods too

Club soda and a lime is a good cover up! I recently got a glass of wine at an event and just pretended to sip..this works better if your partner is there with you to actually drink it to for you on the DL

We have decided to do the same thing and have a wedding in two days. My fiance can't make it to the wedding because of work, but will be at the reception. Because the wedding is out of town we are saying I have to drive.

I was quite lucky to have an existing excuse. I was hospitalised last year for a stomach problem that is still kind of undiagnosed, but the doctors say it's probably IBS. I've said I have to stay off caffeine and alcohol until the end of June (12 weeks) so they can run tests on me. My grandma had a similar procedure too so I'm all set!
