I love the name Eloise but my boyfriend and his family hates the name. They said if I name her that their going to call her “hella weed”, which I think is disrespectful. I love it and everybody else loves it. What do you all think??🤔

Uh, you definitely shouldn't choose a name that THE FATHER hates?! 🤔 Why are you even considering doing that? It's his child as much as yours, too oh guys need to reach an agreement.

They are definitely being rude about it, but if your boyfriend hates the name and you are raising the child together then you probably need to find a name you both agree on. My husband and I both had veto power when naming our kids.

His family is into names that are “interesting” his sister has 3 daughters amarianna, aleaha, and anaah. And his 3 year old daughters name is Kyterria. Cute names and all but when I chose a name I like names that are classical you don’t hear all the time and all the names he has thrown out are names that just stick for me I just don’t get the feeling that they are right. Their comments are along the lines of “its not a name you name a black baby” I think any name is universal but I don’t want to name my baby out of a comment like that.

Well that seems like a mature reaction to a baby name...I wouldn't take what his family thinks into consideration of the name, but hopefully your boyfriend can agree on one with you.

If they are going to put her down for a name you chose I would go for another name. Ita a beautiful name but if they are going to make her feel bad about her name that's not fair to her
