I was curious to know how long it took others to get a negative pregnancy test after a miscarriage and D&C.;

I found out at about 10 weeks along, on October 19th, that we had lost our baby boy (we later learned that It was due to triploidy). I had a D & C on October 20th and then again on November 1st due to a piece of retained placenta causing hemorrhage. It’s now been 6 weeks since the miscarriage and first D&C; and 4 weeks since the second D&C;, but I’m still getting a positive pregnancy test! The lines have definitely been getting lighter on my cheapie tests, but the FRER I took this morning was much more obviously positive. Considering that my husband and I weren’t able to have sex until about 2 weeks ago when the bleeding finally stopped and that I still had a pretty positive pregnancy test at that point, I do not think that I was ovulating or that this is a new pregnancy. My doctor won’t see me about this issue until it has been 8 weeks, so I’m just worried that my body still isn’t on track and I would love to hear how long it took others to get back to normal.
