Mom wants to press charges against bf

I'm 17 and will be 18 in 2 months, my boyfriend is 19 and will be 20 in 3 months. Recently we have been sexually active and because my parents are so strict I didn't tell them. (He was my first) One day my mom took my phone, I didn't get to delete the messages about us having sex now she knows and said shes going to press charges. I love my boyfriend and I don't want him to get in any kind of trouble. Plus he is wanting to go into the army and I know with charges that will ruin his chance. Can he get in trouble for this?? What can I do to help? Please help!
