There are plenty of posts on here about baby registry must haves, but here are a few things that are non-baby related that have been so useful with a newborn!

1. Cordless lightweight vacuum (we have a cordless Dyson... love it) or a robot vacuum, such as a Roomba

2. Blackout curtains!!!!!!!

3. Amazon Echo (we use ours downstairs for music... so much easier to control when you’ve got your hands full!)

4. Pandora music account, or something similar (FYI, my son loves “The Wiggles” station for playtime, and “Yiruma” for napping)

5. Air purifier

6. Meal/grocery delivery service (we use Sunbasket and it’s so nice not having to go grocery shopping with a newborn, or thinking about what meals to make)

7. Amazon Prime account + amazon credit card (you get 5% (sometimes 10%) back on your Amazon purchases and we’ve already gotten hundreds back since activating our credit card in August!)

8. Costco membership

9. Backrest pillow with arm supports (especially useful to use in bed if you’re breastfeeding)

10. Glider or rocker/recliner chair

11. Dimmable lights or night lights so you don’t blast bright lights in your baby’s face during middle-of-the night diaper changes and feedings

12. My favorite... the Coravin wine pourer! It allows you to pour a glass of wine without opening the bottle! It’s great when you and your hubby just want one small glass of wine with dinner.
