Does makeup really expire?

I have SOO much makeup, probably close to $2,000 worth of it and I hardly ever use it these days. Does it really expire? How long do you keep your makeup for?

Yes it expires. Especially products that bacteria can get into easily. Like mascara, and liquids. Powders normally have a longer shelf life since they can be cleaned with alcohol. There's an symbol on the back or bottom the looks like a make up product that has a number in it like 12. That's how many months it's good for.

it doooesss but tbh you can still get away with using old makeup and be fine 🤷‍♀️ the only expired makeup i’d 100% avoid is mascara or anything that goes around the eyes

Mascaras, eyeliners, and anything else liquid can get bacteria in it. If you clean your make up brushes regularly, then your powders should be fine.
