Middle name?

My son is 10 months old and I am just in love now with his middle name and I call him by it sometimes and he turns like he knows it’s his name.
Question is I want to stArt using it but his dad never says his middle name. Is it ok if I do or just stick with first name?

My kids, all 3 of them, answer to both their first and middle name..because sometimes they are called by one, sometimes the other..they grew up big use to both so it's normal for them. If I'm talking to them and use their first name and they aren't paying attention, I call them by their middle name instead and they turn to look at me lol. Even if you husband doesn't use it, as long as you are, he will be familiar with both and respond to both.

I have two nephews and a niece. With my one nephew I started calling him by his middle name if he didn’t answer to his first name and it’s kind of stuck. I’m pretty much the only one who calls him David but he responds to it. He’s three and loves his middle name. When he introduces himself to other people he says “I’m Carter David.”

My youngest daughter is named Megan Grace.   My husband calls her Megan.  I call her Gracie or Gracie Lu.   She knows if I call her Megan I am serious and either she is in trouble or will get hurt with whatever she is doing.  She has zero confusion with this
