No family or friends nearby?

Question

How many of you mamas moved away from friends/family then decided to have a baby? How do you handle not having a hands on support system?

Me and my husband are both military so we are far from home. We have no family here and all of our friends are pretty much military so there gone on deployments and such. It’s just me and my husband doing it all. We do it together and manage pretty well💪🏼👌🏼👶🏻.

huh same here. I have 4 yr toddler and a newborn it's so difficult for me to do everyday tasks I don't have anyone to help me even my husband not helping me. I hope everything goes well for u. I really u understand ur pain

It’s tough. I have one friend near me, but she doesn’t have kids so she’s not someone I can really turn to. My parents live 2 hours away so they come down sometimes to help, but we’re basically on our own. I’m not planning to go back to work, but we will probably get a part time nanny to help out during date nights and any appointments I have where I can’t take the baby. My husband goes grocery shopping on his way home from work, but we also use Sunbasket for 3 of our weekly meals.

My husband is military, so we are far from family!  We just support each other as a couple and I have one really close friend who lives across the street, and that’s it. We move cross country next month and I’m worried about not having my one friend 💔 but I know no matter what we will make it 💪🏻
