When is Bedtime?

My 19 month old has been moved into her big girl bed. Occasionally she gets out of bed and comes wondering into the living room to find me or her Daddy. Usually for cuddles. But she just doesn’t seem tired at 8pm, her previous bedtime. It seems 8:45-9pm is ideal for her to lay down, without being over tired, and slowly fall asleep peacefully. It seems late though... opinions?

Whatever works best for you guys and your schedule 🤷‍♀️ my son is 18 months and is way too active of a sleeper for a toddler bed yet (I have a wild one haha). He sleeps 7-7 at night and takes a 2 hour nap during the day. As long as your daughter gets enough sleep total each day/night that’s what really matters. Everyone’s schedules and children are different.

Congrats on the toddler bed - my daughter isn’t at all ready for that. She runs and jumps all over the place and would fall out of it every 5 mins in her sleep.
Plus bedtime has lost its routine since I started maternity leave and she took a break from creche. Hopefully she’ll be back to 7.30pm and sleeping through the night without night terrors when she starts her new creche in January.

My 19 month old still sleeps in her crib because she’s still not walking. She goes down about 7:30 most nights and sleeps until 7:30 or 8 the next morning. Whatever works for your child is probably fine though!

My son goes to bed at 9:30 during the week. And will wake up at 8:30. During the weekends I lay him down whenever he’s tired. It should be fine if you put her to bed later. They suggest that they get 8-9 hours of sleep at night but don’t say when is the best time to put them to sleep.

We’ve got ours in a twin bed and he goes down around 8. He and his brother will sometimes play back and forth a bit but they’re both usually asleep by 8:30.

Our bedtime is 8pm and he sleeps until 8am but some days he’s not tired so it’ll get pushed back a little or take longer for him to go to sleep. I try to go by his cues. The other day he was really tired and grumpy so we did bedtime at 730.
