Should I get my fwb a Christmas gift...?

Ok so I have a fwb... we started sleeping with eachother in summer 2014 and he even asked me out but I was not interested at all and said no. We went our own ways but remained friends. He broke up with his gf this January and we started sleeping together again in February til now. I have developed strong feelings and I really don't know how he feels because he's very weird about his feelings. Would it look crazy if I got him a gift for Christmas? Just like a bottle of his favourite alcohol or something, nothing crazy... I really want us to be more than just fwb right now but idk how to go about it and feel like maybe this would a good way?
