Loosing mucous plug only in morning?

Has anyone lost parts of their mucous plug only in the morning? I’ve had a lot of think mucous discharge every morning since Sunday. I’m 39 weeks 4 days and have been 2cm and 70% effaced for two weeks.

The discharge is only in the morning and then nothing else throughout the entire day. Saw my doctor yesterday and she didn’t seem concerned about the discharge but also did not say if it was my mucous plug or not. She did say my cervix was still high but babies head is low. She thinks I’ll go past my due date but I’m hoping the mucous discharge is a sign that she won’t come too late!
