I'm in desperate need of a bassinet as I have a newborn. What do you ladies recommend?

Updated info: I bought a Graco Pack N Play with the changing table and bassinet/nearby napper. My baby wasn't really wanting to use it when we'd put him down, so we just kept trying every day. Two nights ago I put him in the bassinet and watched him for a minute. I walked away for a couple of minutes and noticed he was being really (really) quiet. I walked back and he had turned towards the side of the bassinet and had sucked the material into his mouth. I pulled him off and he gasped. So I consider that bassinet unsafe and won't put my baby back in it. It scared the life out of me thinking my child could have suffocated.
