Honestly I am not looking to celebrating Christmas with my bf. We don’t live together and will be celebrating a few days later. But omg he is 21 and still writes a Christmas list...okay fine I get it it’s hard for his parents to pick stuff to get him but he legit wrote down so many things that are soooo much money (yeti cooler, car parts etc). So clearly my gift of a nice fancy shirt, tie and s few small things won’t compare. Then on top of this his parents write their own christmas lists of what my bf can get them... there items are all over $200!! My bf is in college and works part time, and doesn’t have the money to fly to visit me yet just bought his dad a $400 Christmas gift. I just don’t relate to them/their lifestyle. My bf doesn’t realize Christmas isn’t about the gifts and I purposely didn’t want to do Christmas gifts this year since it honestly sucks. I m in school and my parents help pay for gifts but it’s obvious how unappreciative he is for my gifts it just sucks.
