My mom lately has been going through a period where she wants to look at old pictures of my family. I understand, but I’d prefer not to see them. I’m 21 and she’s currently ranting that I never do what she tells me to do because I refuse to get up, go to the living room, to see pictures she’s pulling up on her laptop. The catch is, her husband raped and molested me for years. Why the fuck would I want to get up to see family pictures with him in them? Why would I get up to see pictures that remind me of the time period when that was happening to me? She says it’s in the past and I need to move on and these will always be our family pictures but I’m furious she’s doing this to me. According to her, I’m exaggerating the issue since it’s just pictures. I’m beyond furious. Is it just me orrrrrr?
