❗️Embarrassing Story Time❗️

Okay SO I was meeting my boyfriend’s extended family. His immediate family is very laid back and has for the most part been very accepting of me. In fact, his brother, his brother’s girlfriend, my boyfriend and I have become really close friends and we do things together all of the time. Now skip ahead to thanksgiving and I find out the rest of his family are making seven digits and I’m about to cringe at myself for what happened

So we go play Top Golf. For those of you that don’t know Top Golf is basically bowling and golf mixed together. You get a “lane” type thing and then you try to hit the ball into targets. Anyways, I was home from college so I didn’t have many shirts and I didn’t know that I’d be going out this much so I didn’t have anything clean. I tell my boyfriend this and he says “I have one of your shirts clean here I’ll bring it to you. So he brings me my shirt and it’s a svedka shirt that says “I drink well with others”. And I wear it. Keep in mind I am not of legal drinking age and his family is conservative.

*flash forward to the end of the game*

I didn’t do great but I beat my boyfriend’s score by over double so I’ll take it. My boyfriend leaves and his mom leans over and says “we’re about to take pictures. Make sure you’re in the front so we can see you” (I’m 5’ tall) My boyfriend gets back and someone says it’s time for pictures. So I go to get in the frame and my boyfriend goes “you’re not apart of my family get out of here” and his brother does the same with his girlfriend. So basically it’s like

For backstory on this next part my boyfriend and I call each other names all of the time like “lint licker” “butt” “stupid head” goofy stuff like that.

His family notices were not in the picture and tell us to get in and so we do and they’re all talking while we get situated and JUST as it gets quiet everyone hears me say “I told you, you butt!” And all of these really posh and dignified people look at me like ‘did you just call him a butt?’ And my face is THE MOST RED in that picture. And every night since then I’ve cringed about it.
