Hi, my boy is 3 weeks old and for the past week we’ve been having issues with sleeping and settling. I’ve been to the dr and health nurse and they just tell me it’s cause I’m missing his sleep cues and pain and tiredness are similar. Mum instinct (although first time) tells me it’s more than that. Below are his symptoms:

Grunting-belly ache/wind

Breathing/wheezing after feeds

Unsettled after feeding and burping

Arching Back n squealing

Gulps and squeaks while drinking

Hiccups

Gags, coughs n makes faces.

If put down too quick will grunt straight away, if I wait a little may last half hour or so

First night sleep usually 3 hours, then gets less as morning goes on.

Hard to settle during the day

Can hear him swallowing in sleep

Sleeping- stops breathing in periodic sleep n then gasps and startled himself.

Google has suggested its Silent reflux. Any one have any experience with it??
