Who should be in the room during the delivery?

I'll be having my first child in July. I've heard people say it should just be the father while others have a whole party in there. What is your opinions and what have you guys done?

I only had my husband in there. You’re gonna be spread wide on that table, so whoever you’re comfortable with. To me it’s kinda like a private and special moment, I don’t want a whole party in there while I’m pushing a kid out! But that’s just me

Only me and my man at my three births. And hopefully the same with this fourth one. That's how my parents did it with all 7 of us kids. ☺️
I think it's good bonding time for just the three of you and something special to remember and look back on. 
If for some reason my husband couldn't be there I'd ask my mom to be there for me.

Who you feel comfortable with. With my daughter it was my husband, mother in law, and mother. With my son(still birth) it was my husband and my mother. I am due August 2018 if everything goes right I already know I will want all three of them in the room again. My husband was amazing during both, but when things were heading south with my daughter having woman who have been where I am to talk me through it truly helped me to keep trying to push through.

It’s how you feel comfortable. Keeping in mind your whole soul is graphically exposed. For me it was just my husband. I wouldn’t have minded if my mom was there too, but she didn’t want to, she said she would pass out. So right after I delivered both of my parents came into the room. There’s moms that don’t even want the parents right after delivering. It’s up to how you feel about it

Both previous children I had my mom and mother in law in there as well as my hubby. It’s always worked out really well. But I have fantastic relationships with both so it was an easy choice. And its a memory they’ll have forever. Plus they caught things my husband didn’t. Like my MIL got my daughters first cry. And they took early pictures we didn’t get. It just was something super special for us. It’s not for everyone though. And ground rules were for sure set before it happened. Like I can audible at anytime and change my mind. And the obvious keep my hoochie out of the pictures you take. But otherwise no issues at all.

I have always just had my husband. You already have so many people in the delivery room during pushing/delivery. Team of nurses for the baby. A couple for you. The doctor.... it’s so crowded as is. Plus I personally needed to be able to focus and with a team of family in the room I felt they would have been loud and distracting to me. 
I loved how it was just my hubby and I greeting our children. It was so intimate. We cried. Hugged. It’s something only we will share. It’s nice. :)

I’ll have my mom, and my son’s dad there. It’s my first and my moms first grandchild so I feel she should experience that moment with me, plus just having someone who took care of me and protected me there during a life changing experience will make me feel good.
