Am I overreacting?

My boyfriend has lived in this town forever. So everyone pretty much knows him. Well, every time we go somewhere someone had to bring up his ex, like I'm not standing there. "Have you talked to her?" "This is what she's doing." Blah blah blah. He EVEN GETS PHONE CALLS ABOUT HER!!!! WHY DOES HE NEED TO KNOW? But yet when I ask him why everyone brings her up, I need to "settle down." Am I overreacting?

Next time someone says something I would speak right up and say something like "I'm sorry, but doesn't that seem a little rude bringing up my boyfriends ex or suggesting he talk to/meet up with her..... Since his current girlfriend is standing right here?".  I think that's a valid reason to be aggravated and I wouldn't put up with it... That's really pretty insensitive.

I don't think you are overreacting at all, I'd be furious!! I'd tell him to stop listening to it and when people try and tell him about her he should say well I'm with you now, I've moved on.

I'm guessing she still has feelings for him or is just using him cause he's willing. She sounds very manipulative and he just needs to wake up!!
