Bleeding at 5 weeks?

So I don’t know how to title this. I got my first BFP December 6 with baby #2. Later that night I had some red blood when going to the bathroom (enough to fill a mini pad). Called the dr & got sent for blood work. I’m guessed to be at 5 weeks (fdolp was November 2). Got a call back saying that my hcg was only 43 which is very low & now they want me to wait until December 14 to get another blood test. In the mean time I’ve been bleeding even more with light cramping. I did have low hcg with my daughter & my pregnancy had zero complications. I don’t know what to think. I’m telling myself to prepare for the worst but hope for the best. Anyone have something like this happen with a good outcome? I’m just looking for some hope. Thank you.
