just had my first ultrasound. doctor said  he could only see the sac measuring in at 7mm im 5weeks 4days is this normal?

update:just had my 7week ultrasound turns out im 6weeks 3days saw babys heart beat im beyond excited

It’ll be okay. I went in for a 7 week ultrasound and came to find out I was only 6 weeks. We got lucky to see a heartbeat and it was 117. The tech said it was low but it’s so early so we scheduled an 8 week for yesterday. The baby is doing great and growing like it should, heart rate was 174!! We even got to hear it. Try not to worry it’s so early sometimes you won’t see much in an ultrasound. Praying for you mama!!

I think it’s normal bc this is exactly how my ultrasound went yesterday. I thought I was about 8 to 9 weeks but there was just an empty sac and I’m actually 5 to 6 weeks. I ovulated on November 28th but my last period was October 3rd which is why they thought I was a lot further along. I’m trying to stay positive bc I’ll go back on Thursday to check for growth. Praying for you!
