So I’ve been talking to this guy that used to go to my high school (he was a bit older though he was in grade 12 when I was in grade 9 - I’m currently 18 and in my first year of university and he just turned 21) and we’ve decided to try a sort of “friends with benefits” sort of thing since both of us said we’re not looking for a serious relationship right now. We’ve met up twice already (the first time we had already gone pretty far already (excluding sex since im still a virgin) & the second time we just met up after i was coming back from a party and we just walked around, talked, and sat on a bench outside and held each other since everything was closed that late in the night).

What’s got me confused is the way he texts me and how we talk when we’re together, he’s asking about my day and how I’m doing and he remembers little things about my life that I tell him. And right after “hanging out” that first time texted me telling me that he feels like he had a really strong connection and how he’s never connected with someone this fast before.

I’ve been in a fwb relationship before and it was much more physical and not as verbal as it is with this guy. Idk I’m beginning to wonder if he actually wants a relationship or not since the way we talk and how we act when around each other seems like something two people dating would do (especially since he wanted to meet up the second time just to see me, knowing nothing sexual would happen). But then again I’ve actually never had a real boyfriend so I’m just going off of what I’ve seen from friends and in shows/movies.

Also he made it clear that he wants us to be exclusive from the beginning.
