I had my first dr appointment today. I'm exactly 6 weeks. I've had a history of miscarriages so I was very excited to make it to my first appointment. My last two miscarriages happened before I could even get to the dr. They did blood work (I should have results Monday). They did a transvaginal ultrasound and found the sac. They also saw what looked like the beginnings of the heart beating but it was too faint to get a reading. I go back in one week to repeat the labs and in two weeks to repeat the ultrasound. If everything looks good then they will send me to the high risk specialist who will do more blood work at 10 weeks and will be able to tell me what I'm having by those results!!! I'm excited but very reserved because of my history!
