Which cloth diapers are good for newborns?

I want to start cloth diapering from birth  and am curious what type and/or brand you recommend for newborns?

Prefolds or flats and covers. I haven't cloth from birth before (We started at 2weeks) but we will be this time and from what I have gathered, this is the best and most cost effective combo for newborns. However, it still all boils down to personal preference. We will be using a little of everything, but mostly prefolds, flats and fitteds with pul and wool covers. This is our newborn stash.

Prefolds with covers I find are the best for newborns. You make the size to suit them rather than buying different brands and they are all shaped differently. You wont know till Bub is here whether big or small sized baby

I use the Love My Baby brand. 6 of them for $35 on Amazon. Get 3 packs. They come with microfiber inserts. They work great.  My daughter is 20 months now and they look brand new still. My biggest piece of advice is to use diaper liners. They look like a dryer sheet and catch about 95% of solids. So you just toss or flush the liner and it keeps the diaper relatively clean. Then you just put them all in the wash.  It’s really very easy. Now that my daughter is older, I have to put in 3 inserts in her diaper, but they are still holding up great and has saved us a ton of money.

I'm curious about this too! I want to cloth diaper, I was kinda planning to start after a couple of weeks. I've started to stock up on both disposables and cloth so we can have options and use what works best but I would be really interested in other mothers experiences 😊
