Please could someone give give me advice on the pain and after care etc on this piercing ? Any tips

As a witness in the industry, it’s very difficult to heal. A lot of people get keloids or hypertrophic scarring. It hurts to sleep/mess with your hair. You have to have a certain ear shape. If you’re on top of babying it, it’s a great pay-off since it’s an amazing piercing, but you gotta earn it.

Honestly I had no pain at all what so ever with this piercing. Wash it good when you're in the shower and use wound wash saline apply it to a Q tip and clean both ends. It will heal up nicely.

Try using Bactine at least 3 times a day. When you spray, turn the bar slowly and clean it with a q tip.

I have had mine for years and I remember when it was healing my hair would get caught in it and tug it and that hurt. They get stuck to glasses when you take them off and that hurts. Sleeping on your ear hurts but everything else is fine. I have a lot of piercings and I think this one gets caught in the most stuff out of all of them.

Defiantly was a little painful getting pierced lol. Healing process- make sure you don’t get it on the side you sleep on! Lol Mine was sore for a while after & sometimes still bothers me if I sleep hard on it(almost a year since I got it) Make sure you clean it atleast twice day, I just used the orange anti-bacterial soap and warm water while turning it and moving it back and forth everytime I cleaned it. You don’t want to over clean it because it can slow the healing time. Overall great piercing, I LOVE it!

i had mine done when i was 17. it was incredibly painful for me. i almost fainted. it took probably 6 months to heal.

I got mine done when I was 15. It was pretty painful but in my opinion it’s so worth it. To take care of mine I’d make sure all the blood is cleaned up and then I’d just wash it with soap and water daily (mostly while I took a shower) and I would just turn it every now and again just so it doesn’t get stuck in one position. Also if the cartilage starts to ball up use a cotton ball and some salt water. It’ll keep it scar free.

I got mine done like 6 months ago and it's been pretty easy to take care of as long as you follow the directions the piercer gives you. It only takes a minute out of your day to properly clean it and that will save you a whirlwind of trouble in the future with it. I personally don't have a high threshold for pain it it wasn't that bad. He had me breathe out while he did it and count (which really helped), to me it was basically a pinch. Just be careful not to play with it when you first get it bc it is quite tempting. Good luck!

It’s been like 6 months since I’ve got mine done. I had two hypertrophic scars during the healing process but they went away with some extra care and I still can’t sleep on it. It’s really cute though, I love it. I got it done when I shaved my hair because my ears made me a little insecure but my hair is growing back and it gets wrapped around it some now

I did my own at home when I was 13, It healed in two months with no other issues. I just used sea salt water and rinsed it twice a day, also didn't sleep on that side till it healed.
