How did your SO propose?

My husband proposed on my birthday. 
We were going to my favorite Mexican restaurant, and we're stuck at a red light. the traffic was crazy busy, his truck didn't have air conditioning, and it was the middle of August in Georgia. 
I kept complaining about how hot it was and how hungry I was. He just pulled out the ring and grinned at me the biggest grin.

Little did he know that I accidentally found the ring a couple days before while putting away laundry. ;)

My husband didnt propose he told me I had 6 months too plan a wedding and when I said whos he said OURS lol ;)

The day after Christmas 2011, I came home to a sign on the door apologizing that my Christmas present was late. I opened the door to a path of rose pedals with notes about why he loved me and our relationship so much. The path led to our bedroom and when I opened the door he was in a suit and tie shaking from head to toe (he has OCD and anxiety)! Then he got down on one knee! Couldn't be happier! Married for 3 years next January!

My now husband told 2 of my best friends that he was planning to propose on NYE. Only one friend could come over to "watch the ball drop" with us but she kept insisting that i get all dressed up and look my best. I was so confused cuz we were only staying in my apartment for the night lol when midnight hit i reached for him to kiss but he pulled back, took my hand, got down on one knee and said "i want my 1st kiss of the new year to be from my future wife, will you marry me?" I was in shock lol of course i said yes but i also said a lot of "are you serious? Are you serious?" Lol

I love reading everyone's stories, thank you for sharing!  My husband proposed on July 2, 2011 and we have been married for 3.5 years.  He took my camping to "our spot" we backpacked in the woods to the spot (with 50lb plus bags!) then we got there we setup the tent and I started collecting wood.  He came over collected what I had and encouraged me by saying I was doing such a good job and gave me a kiss. Then he called me over when I crossed the bridges there were rose petals everywhere, wine, and he was sitting on a log with his guitar.  He sang me a song he wrote and got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him! I of course said yes and could not be happier to stand by his side!

(He designed the ring himself, he did such a good job!)

Aww that is so sweet!
My SO and I got into a GIGANTIC fight!!! And it's funny because I don't remember what we were getting about no. But any way, he wanted to go for a walk to our favorite coffee shop that was very close to our home.  So I decided that it would be nice to get out and enjoy the night. On our at there we were just having civil conversation, nothing too dramatic. And this continued until we got to the coffee shop. Once we got there we started talking about us and our relationship. He asked me what I thought of him the first time we met, etc. On our way home we continued to talk about our relationship. He kept asking me what made me fall in love with him and what made me want to be with him. And I kept saying that I knew I could trust him. That if all things failed I knew that I could trust him in any and all things in life. At that moment, he grunted and acted as if he was hurt. Since he's a little older than me, my thoughts leaped to the worst possible thing (heart attack) hahaha, but it just so happens he created a diversion so I wouldn't notice him pulling out the ring!! He proposed then and there! He said, I don't know how it happened, I don't know when happened, or why it happened, but I am glad it happened. Will you marry me? My heart melted and we are happily married since January 30th, 2015.

It was Mother's Day. We went to a Ranger's game with my mom and sister. Afterwards we went to his grandparents house to see his mom and family. He was standing up in front of everyone and told me to come over. He took off my ring I usually wore and said, "Well since everyone is here, I guess now is as good a time as any." I was looking around so confused. And I turned to see him on his knee and I just started bawling.

My husband took me to the pier at pismo beach CA. He made a whole day to celebrate it. Even had friends go with us who captures pictures (not on this phone) and he mumbled a whole bunch of nonsense because he was so nervous! Very romantic!
