Hey ladies, I haven’t posted in a while I’ve been super busy but I wanted some responses to this. Almost a month ago (yeah, a god damn month ago!!!), my nephew was at daycare. It was a Friday and the teacher and assistants set them up for nap time around 11:30. My nephew woke up at 1, screaming crying and they had no idea why. My mom went and picked him up... his left eye was glued shut. We thought it was pink eye but my mom took him to the pediatrician and they said it’s not Elmer’s glue because it would come off with warm water, so they sent my mom to the best hospital in Jersey in Monmouth County and the optometrist there along with several other doctors told my mom it indeed was super glue. My mom contacted the school and had one of the doctors explain it to the owner and she said “that’s impossible. We didn’t use glue today and we only have Elmer’s glue which is in a locked closet”. First of all, my nephew is 3. He knows better than to put glue by his eye and second, super glue is usually child proof. The daycare is still denying it and my mom and dad documented everything with their lawyer. My nephews eye is still not open all the way. I will attach a photo from when it happened to now. I told my parents to file a police report just to have and they said “we’re sending another pic to the doctor tonight and telling her legal action has to be taken”. God forbid there’s damage.. also, my parents have sole custody of my nephew because my brother is addicted to drugs. That’s besides the point but yeah. What would you ladies do? I told my parents I’m about to go into the daycare myself and rip them a new one. They should install cameras also so this doesn’t happen to another child.

UPDATE- 12/11/17- So the pediatric ophthalmologist just called and he is going into surgery Thursday. We didn’t want it to come to this but it needs to be done. She’s going to separate the lids and cut the lashes. My mom got a call back from our lawyer today and everything is documented and ready for legal action. I just want my boy better. Justice will be served to the asshole who did this.
