Which birthing method ??

Sapphire • Full time mum taking everyday as it comes

Well I’m really scared about pushing the baby out. Like in my family babies come out very big. A few have come out weighing 10lbs. I myself weighed 9lbs and my brother 10.2lbs. My mum had to have stitches with both of us. My brother tore her up and down she had to be completely remade down there. My auntie both had bad births. One baby got stuck and she had to be sliced vertically and forceps used as the baby went into distress. My other auntie dilated 5cm and stayed like that and the baby’s heart beat started to slow down and she had a to have an emergency c-section.

Now what I’m scared of is that I might be like my mum and have to have stitches and I would rather have the stitches on my belly than down there. But there’s always the chance I won’t need them so do I take the risk of do I just pick to have the c-section. I’m 18 and my midwife was very upset when I wanted to discuss a c-section because it’s my first baby and I’m healthy she doesn’t understand why I would want one. But I’ve seen a lot of women have babies because of my aunties and there friends and the ones that had c-sections actually recovered quicker than those who had stitches having their baby naturally. My auntie and her friend had there baby on the same day. My auntie had the c-section and the other was natural and my auntie can do everything now and is very happy while her friend is still in pain and had to go back to the hospital so I don’t know what to do.
