Is it possible for people to get false positive using home pregnancy tests? I feel like it would be impossible but idk. Haha sorry girls random question I have always wondered but some women on this site bash dumb questions so I've never asked!

I've heard false positives don't happen but false negatives do! You could technically be pregnant and the HPT might not pick it up if it's too soon. No question on here is off limits. That's why I created this group. I wanted a place to chat and share our experiences without being bashed. 😊

In very rare cases, you can have a false-positive result. This means you're not pregnant but the test says you are. You could have a false-positive result if blood or protein is present in your urine. And certain drugs, such as tranquilizers, anti-convulsants, or hypnotics, may also cause false-positive results.
