How long after you get pregnant do you start gaining weight ?

Im sure 2 weeks ago my jeans fit me and were even a bit loose now I had to squeeze my legs through, is it a symptom of preganncy or not ?

I didn't gain any weight till I stopped breast feeding which was 2 months after I had him (breast feeding wasn't working for me ?) if you breast feed you loose so much weight !!
