July '17 baby still in infant car seat?

My baby girl is almost 5 months old, she's   14.7 lbs and 26 in long, we are still using  an infant car seat. I was just curious if the rest of you with babies similar in age weight and height were still using an infant car seat and when you were planning on upgrading?

California state law prevents us from using front facing until 2 years of age. That's fine she's safer that way.

Oh gosh! My boy is 5 months on the 21st and he weighs 17lb 8oz!!! My tall chunky baby. He's going in a rear facing seat after Christmas as he's getting far too heavy for his seat and he's so long his feet hang over the end! Health visitor advised us to swap him after Xmas as the rate he's putting on weight he'll soon be 20lbs which is recommended weight for him to be in a fixed rear facing car seat 😊

We are planning on moving our little girl when she reaches 9kg, her new seat is suitable from birth but can be forward facing from 9kg and at that time I don’t think I will be able to lift her in her infant one anymore lol

we are planning on our LO getting a convertible car seat for Christmas, as I am 11 weeks preggo, and he weighs over 16lbs. he is getting way too heavy for me to carry

My little guy is almost the same size he weighs a little less but the dr said to switch when it gets to heavy to carry I was thinking after the holidays my husband already used the regular car seat and he actually likes it better it's a lot more comfortable for him!

Hi there, my little girl is coming up to 5 months old and is just over 15lb. She is still in rear facing infant seat and we plan to keep her in this until she grows out of it which is when her head is above the seat (this is advice we have been given)
