I want to start a discussion about it because its beyond important to understand that we are NOT alone in this battle. Tell me your struggles, how you cope, or what you need support on right now.

I was diagnosed back in July. my doctor suggested that I can take metformin when I was ready, but I haven’t started it yet. Having a baby has been what I’ve known I wanted since I was young, so I was a little heartbroken knowing it may be hard to have one.

I was diagnosed when I was 16. I was not sexually active at the time. When I would get my periods they would be so heavy that I would set my alarm for every 2 hours during the night because it would already soak through my ultra tampon and if I didn't change it then it would soak through my nighttime pad too. Then all of the sudden I quit getting my period for 8 months. They put me on a birth control pills. Was on it for a year and went off. Now I get my period every month (irregular: 25-35 days). And I only have to use super (+) tampons and they last 4 hours. I still have multiple really thick/dark hairs under my chin and around my nipples though :(

I was diagnosed when I was 14 they put me on the depo shot saying it would help with my horrid periods and make my cramps go away. well it resulted in no periods and still horrid cramps. fast forward to the last three years so 20-23 I was on a bc pill don't remember which one but decided to stop since my fiance and I wanted to try for a baby well the depo had finally gotten all out of my system and the bc pill didn't take long either within a month of having no added hormones in my body I began to have very irregular periods horrid cramps and to my surprise a shit load of cysts in both ovaries. my gyno told my fiance and I we should wait to have children told me to get back on bc and start losing weight. that those would help make sure I didn't have a hard time conceiving. well that was not what we wanted to hear so we said fuck it and kept trying. a while later we found out I was two months pregnant. got a new obgyn and at my first appointment they did an ultrasound to see if I still had any custs. to my surprise they were all gone.  I went my whole pregnancy without any and as of now 8months pp I have not experienced any horrible symptoms of cysts. I know they're there because I can sometimes feel them rupture but it isn't enough to make me curl up and cry like before. I am absolutely terrified for when we decide to try for another baby.
