Baby Named After a Cat? (Read First)

Question

Okay, not actually named after a cat. I grew up on a farm with a ton of animals throughout the years. My mom loved giving the cats cute, Irish names. Now that I am expecting my second I love all of these names, specifically Finn. However, we had a cat named Mr. Finn and I'm wondering if this would be weird if I named my son this. It's one of the few names my husband and I agree on.

I had a dog for a short time as a kid named Zoe...my oldest daughter is now Zoey. lol Only name hubby and I agreed on at the time.

My SO had a cat as a kid called Indie and he suggested we named our daughter India. Not quite  the same, but pretty close. I slipped and said something in refernce to Indie as her name and he was thoroughly offended that i would suggest we name our baby afte r his cat. Lol.. but I probably will use the name one day😋

I voted no before reading hahah. If you had many different ones and he actually went by mr. Finn instead of just Finn and wasn’t a significant part of your life and is currently not alive then go for it.... Finn is a really cute name. I’m so mad that my cousin named her dog Finn because that was a name on my list of boys too!

My husband’s niece is named Isabella and his mom (her grandma) has a cat named Isabelle. We thought it was kind of weird, but if it’s a past pet I wouldn’t even think about it!
