I EBF my 13 day-old. My right breast (not the nipple) has been very sore/almost bruised feeling for most of the day. My LO has nursed from that side for a lengthy amount of time throughout the day and I even pumped earlier after a feed to make sure I drained it completely. I tried a cold compress but that offered only temporary relief. The breast isn’t red, hot, or angry looking, just hurts! Is this the start of mastitis or just something related to being a new mom?
