Induction for hypertension

Cheryl

we checked in at 10 am yesterday...everything was smooth sailing until 5pm when my water broke...then the contractions were so intense I couldn’t do anything about them. And then Quincy’s heart rate was decelerating. And then it was completely gone. They put a device on his head to monitor him, but there was no heartbeat. I swear my life stoped. Before I knew what

was going on, there are 15 people in the room, I have oxygen on, and they decided I could push faster than they can get us to the OR. So we push. And my focus is gone, I’m crying and screaming and praying. At 6:29 he landed in the doctors arms, blue, cord around his neck, and lifeless. After about 20 min, I heard him squeal...like a little mouse...and then they said he was breathing...and then the doctor showed the room his umbilical cord. He had two knots, one true pretzel knot, and one some other knot. The doctor said it was a miracle he was here and breathing. At 10lbs .8oz, induced 2 weeks early for hypertension...I couldn’t agree more. I’m so thankful for his delivery team. And so thankful he is doing well today except some bruising and a gash on his head he got from being forced out. He is my butterball.
