If your ex broke up with you 5 years ago, and never told you why, and you started dating someone new for 2 and a half years, and you texted the ex bout why you guys broke up for closure... Does that mean you still have feelings for them? EDIT:                                                Thank you ladies. Okay, new scenario. What if you broke up with your partner for 2 weeks over something unrelated, (not over cheating or anything, Just arguing too much and miscommunication) but got back together after 2 weeks, and you messaged your ex while broken up, is that still wrong?

Yes that's ridiculous. Closure is something you try to get after a few months maybe, before you move on...anything after that..especially if you've been in anything new relationship for years, is just going to cause problems in the current relationship. No need to hold on to the past. Not to mention how the ex must feel lol..I would HATE if someone I broke up with 5 years ago text me...

I still have feelings for my last ex.  I will always live him in a way.   He was my best friend for sooooo fucking long.  We dated on and off and simply are NOT compatable he has bipolar and I know I can not deal with that in my day to day life.   He also has OCD and obsessively cleans and I am a more laid back yup I will get to the dishes tomorrow because I am playing with the kids kind of person.

Closure after 5 years is an excuse.  They were done end of story cut and dry.   Crap I can't imagine contacting my ex now asking questions like that and it has been 2 years.   We have talked since but not in probably 6 months and when we did talk it was in regards to legal stuff our children were going through

I mean that's for the person to determine for them selfs... but in all honesty they were done 5 years ago and with a new man for 2 years. they need to just focus on the relationship they are in instead of a past relationship that didn't work. just think of it visa versa if your man would do that to you.
