The danger of hot tubbing and ttc?

I have heard that hot tub use is bad for men who are trying to conceive.  What are the risks and what should we limit.   We just got a hot tub but now I don’t want my husband to use it!

I got pregnant in April. We had decided to just stop actively trying and just let it be and let it happen. I think him and I were in the hot tub like 4 times a week! We were fine. I’m 35 weeks today!

Men’s sperm needs to be kept at a precise temperature in order to survive. It is lower than body temperature that is why it has to be stored outside of the body. When men get in hot tubs it kills he sperm so in turn lowers their sperm count. It doesn’t make getting pregnant impossible just more difficult when there is already only about a 20% chance you can get pregnant every month for a healthy couple.
