Invalid opk?

So far I’ve had five positive opks. I’m pretty sure with this brand it says to disregard after five minutes. In the five minutes I thought it was negative. Another minute or two it got dark. Should I ignore this or take it as a positive? I started my first positive on cycle day 27. I have irregular periods so I keep taking these until it’s neg lol

With opks you never get a true negative with no line- your body always makes the hormone but you get a surge when you ovulate, resulting in a dark line. If you already got a positive in this cycle then that’s when you ovulated. You can sometimes get a second surge after you ovulate. Those tests also will develop a darker line after the 5 minute window.

If you got your positive earlier you don't need to keep testing.
