Is one coffee a day allowed in first trimester?? Or no? Just frowned upon??

Yes, but make sure you do your research of how much caffeine is in the coffee you’re drinking. For example, if you go out for a coffee be mindful that Starbucks has twice the amount of caffeine in their coffee than Dunkin Donuts. Steer clear of Starbucks all together as their drinks are far beyond 200mg of caffeine! Most gas stations don’t have any information on how much caffeine is in their coffee. Same with small restaurants or coffee shops. Don’t forget there’s caffeine in soda too that adds up quickly.

as far as I understand up to 200 mg of caffeine is safe any more and there's apparently higher risk of miscarriage...
I got myself malt fortified (coffee) and drink occasionally (I can't trust myself to not screw up calculation of mg's)
I would check the type of coffee you drink.... coffee differs greatly in caffeine content per cup...
I would think it is safe, I would just check to be on the safe side...

Like others are saying, 200 mg of caffeine is OK. I just switched to a homemade blend of 3/4 decaf and 1/4 caffeinated and I'm probably right around that 200 limit. 
Try the Amazon whole bean decaf. It's pretty good!

Yes and no. Check the advice in your country (it differs). I know here in Australia they advise 200mg of caffeine a day which equates to 2 x home instant coffees.
