In August my husband and I moved to South Dakota from Texas. The closest hair salon for ethnic hair is 5 and a half hours away. I just took out my box braids and flat ironed my hair. It looks decent but my ends are crying out for help. Should I try to have my husband do it or go to a salon near me and risk having white women, who don’t know what they’re doing, trim my hair? It’s not like I would have them styling, washing, pressing or any of that. It’s just dead ends. Any advice?
