Is it worse giving birth the second time round?

I’m pregnant with baby number 2 and I’m starting to get a bit anxious about giving birth the second time around. I had a 2nd degree tear with my first and had stitches and I’m scared it will hurt a lot more this time round. Is it true or not really noticeable?

I tore very badly with my first birth. And I was exactly like you.... I was so scared that I would tear again but to be honest I already knew what birth was like the second time round so I listened to the midwives more and I was more aware of my surroundings.
When she told me to pant I’d pant and when she told me to stop pushing I’d stop. I ended up with only grazes that healed within days.
Just make sure to listen more this time round 😊😍 you will be fine. and if you do tear again you know from previous experience that eventually you will heal.

I had a smaller tear with my second but it was deeper and more painful. I’m hoping the pattern doesn’t continue as I’m being induced in the morning and so nervous 🙊

For my second I stayed at home for most of  labour, when i got to the hospital i was already 8cm, the nurse was like omg lol then I had my so  2 hours later. He was my biggest baby, but his labour was pretty good ☺️

I feel like my contractions were way more intense the second time around. But the birth itself went a lot faster and it was about the same.

Second was SO much better! Right after I said “let’s have a third! baby that wasn’t bad!” After my first I kept saying never again! 😂

easier for me 2nd time round too! still a long labour but I progressed (dilated ) a lot quicker which ended up me not needing any drugs! loved it 😊

I was in labor a couple hours and had pushed for 5 minutes. It was easier for me!

Second was easier and significantly faster. I had more sutures from a mole they removed while they were down there than I did from birthing injuries. Labor was also 4 hours compared to over 36 with my first.

Second was a lot easier! 45 minutes of pushing vs 2.5 hrs, barely a tear vs level 4!
