Is smoking a deal breaker?

I grew up with 4-5 people constantly smoking cigarettes in the house so I’ve grown to absolutely hate the smell. When I go inside my moms house for even a minute, I come back out reeking of the smell. I’m talking to a guy who says that he doesn’t smoke all the time and wouldn’t mind to not smoke around me or before he sees me but he can’t say he’d ever quit smoking them. The problem I have with that is smokers always taste like ashes. Should I just agree since he’s not doing it around me, or would you end things over that too?

Me and my SO smoke weed, but we both can't stand tobacco or the smell of it. So when I was single I wouldn't even give the time of day to anyone who smelled like cigarettes. i know a bit dramatic, especially since I smoke weed, but I kid you not the smell alone of tobacco gives me headaches. I don't think it'd be bad for you to cut it off, if it's something that bothers you. You can find someone who's compatible with you!

For me yes, but if you dont like it dont go out with him because then youll try to change him but youll have to remember that when you met him he smoked. Might turn into a mess 😩

If he doesnt do it alot then u might think you will get over it but their will be times that when you kiss him or hold him you will smell it, trust me i went thru it.. i kepted dating him then their were fights of me telling him to go brush his teeth nd shower 🤣 so i think u should run bfore you get cought up lol

Unfortunately it's an addiction. You basically have two choices -  be with him and do your best to help him quit. Or decide to stay away. Either way I'd just be straight forward with him.

If he won’t quit smoking you should ask him to look into vaping. There’s so many different nicotine levels that he can get to find what’s best for him along with different flavors. He’ll smell 100 times better and feel better in the long run! My whole family switched in 2014 when my dad got diagnosed with bladder cancer.
