Hi all-

As soon as my son gets his first shots when he’s 2 months (he’s 1 month now), I’m going to take him to New York to meet my dad, who can’t travel to us because he’s very sick with cancer. I wouldn’t otherwise take my son to New York so soon (and in winter) but I want him to meet his grandfather before it’s too late. I’m torn with whether or not I need his car seat/carrier. I don’t plan on going around the city much, we aren’t going to sight see, and when we are up and about I’ll wear him int wrap, and during the flight he will be in my lap. But what about getting from the airport to my parents and back? The subway with a 2 month old makes me nervous but I don’t want to get in a cab without a car seat. Suggestions?
