Letrozole, ultrasound, trigger shot, IUI
My fiancé and I have been trying for a couple of years now to conceive. We recently started going to a fertility specialist. We got several tests and blood tests done, turns out he is fine and my doc just thinks I don’t ovulate. She hasn’t really explained much to me, just tells me what to do and I do it. For example, I was put on 2.5 mg of Letrozole for cycle days 3 through 7. And then I was told to go in for an ultrasound a little over a week later. The plan was to get the ultrasound, see how everything was looking, and then get a trigger shot and do IUI. Well at my ultrasound she thought I was probably ovulating then. So I got my blood drawn for progesterone. Results came back like 3.74 or something close to that. She said it def seems like I was ovulating. So I missed my shot this month of IUI. Basically I’m just wondering, is all of this normal? I know none of us are doctors on here. I just haven’t really had much explained to me. I’m nervous that this isn’t the best plan of action or that maybe more testing needs done.
