My doctor today told me that I should have had a period by now as my daughter has been on increasing amounts of solids since five months and her demand for milk has decreased (I still feed her breastmilk 4-6 times a day at eight months postpartum) and therefore so has my supply. Apparently when milk supply drops or dries up your cycles should start back up?

I thought it was normal for me not to have gotten a period yet at eight months postpartum, and I’m not complaining lol, but now what this doctor has said has me feeling a bit insecure about my health. I’ve struggled with PCOS in the past, which was brought on from gaining weight, and during my pregnancy I gained alottt of weight and am still working toward losing the last six kilograms... I’m wondering now if my PCOS is flaring up again and causing my lack of periods and not simply breastfeeding my daughter :/
