has anyone taken over the counter clomid?

me and my husband have been trying to conceive for a few months now. we spoke to a doctor about getting clomid and were told we would have to go private. I don't have £1000 to pay a doctor for £40 pills. has anyone got them over the counter and done it yourself? just wondering if it's a viable option?

I don't think it's ever a good idea to buy medicine over the Internet and as far as I know you can only get clomid prescribed to you through a gynecologist (I don't even think a regular GP can give it to you) Don't think you have the option to just buy it from a chemist. You should ask to get referred to a gyno who specialises in fertility.

If the only issue is you can't afford to get the pills through your doctor, perhaps you might consider talking to your doctor about what options you have as far as still being under his supervision if you purchase them on your own. I'm not sure if it's available to purchase otc in your country but it's worth exploring your options as long as you consult with your doctor.
